Project
Metaland
Can the Metaverse be explored? Is it possible to buy intangible land? What does the experience of a virtual world leave us?
Is it possible to create a dialogue, a common ground between virtual reality and physical reality?
This project explores the relationship between nature and the Metaverse and raises new questions regarding the definition of the boundaries between visible and invisible realities.
Through a mixture of innovative and traditional techniques, this work aims to create a synergistic relationship between these realities.
An immaterial world that marks a boundary in the tangible world, an unexplored terrain in which physical and virtual reality collide.
video
01_explore
“Explore” introduces the visitor to one of the main themes from which our project was born: the exploration of physical lands.
This video is a set of shots taken in search of a land with water, spontaneous vegetation, a real incipit of artistic research. The shots were made between 2021 – 2022 in the province of Udine, precisely in the hilly area of Tarcento.
realtà virtuale
02_paint
“Paint” is a video of a 3d painting made in virtual reality with Tilt Brush. Thanks to the use of an application that allows painting virtually, we have combined our painting styles to create a three-dimensional landscape.
LED PANELS
03_photo
“Paint” takes on a material form through the printing on four backlit opaline panels, 60 × 60 cm in size. The images printed on the LED panels are photographs taken inside the landscape that we painted in Tiltbrush.

04_purchase
“Purchase” is the video of the deed of sale of the land, the second most important phase of our project. The land was bought on OVER The Reality Metaverse. This deed of sale raised some questions:
“Can the Metaverse be explored? Is it possible to buy intangible land? What does the experience of a virtual world leave us?
Is it possible to create a dialogue, a common ground between virtual reality and physical reality? “
Installation
05_map

The size of each hexagon is 35X40 cm.
AUGMENTED REALITY
06_code
A QR code allows you to experience the work in augmented reality, in the Metaverse, through the use of a mobile phone.
The visitor must register in the OVERthereality application in order to access the purchased land and the experience through the use of 3D software.
